When developing and using a novel detection assay, researchers need access to clinically relevant positive controls to ensure the reliability and accuracy of their results. RNAscope technology allows for direct visualization of the virus and estimate the viral load in cells (Any Gene, Any Species, Any Tissue) with morphological context. Whether it is detecting the SARS-CoV-2 spike protein (Cat No 848561 V-nCoV2019 –S), and combine it with probes for the cellular receptor (ACE2) and proteases (TMPRSS2, Cathepsin B and Cathepsin L) or monitoring inflammatory response in cells (IL-6, IL-1β, IL-10 and TNFα), RNAscope technology allows spatial resolution of biomarkers in a quantitative manner.
