Renal Epithelial Cell Growth Kit (ATCC PCS-400-040) contains components that when added to Renal Epithelial Cell Basal Medium (ATCC PCS-400-030) create a complete cell culture environment for epithelial cells isolated from normal human kidneys. The low serum (0,5% FBS) medium formulation is designed to support normal renal cell morphology as well as promote rapid growth and proliferation. No feeder layers, extracellular matrix proteins or other substrates are required. The final concentration for each component in complete renal epithelial growth medium is as follows: Triiodothyronine: 10 nM rh EGF: 10 ng/mL Hydrocortisone Hemisuccinate: 100 ng/mL rh Insulin: 5 µg/mL Epinephrine: 1 µM L-Alanyl-L-Glutamine: 2.4 mM Transferrin: 5 µg/ml Fetal bovine serum (FBS): 0.5% |
