Restriction Enzyme Tool
Search for restriction enzymes by name, recognition sequence or overhang. Explore compatible enzymes for double digests quickly, without having to select each individually.

REAL time quantitative PCR

Real-time quantitative PCR
Real-time quantitative PCR, or qPCR, has become a standard tool in the analysis of nucleic acids. By incorporating fluorescently labeled probes or nucleic acids or fluorescent double-stranded DNA-binding dyes into the PCR reaction, product formation can be monitored following each PCR cycle. Since product formation is detected in the exponential phase of PCR where the reaction is most efficient, quantification of starting material is more accurate and sensitive. Most common qPCR detection methods include probe-based as well as dye-based detection chemistries. Learn more about each type of method and the proven systems we offer.

Custom PCR Protocols
Thinking (and working) outside the standard PCR box? Create custom PCR protocols in seconds (standard, hot start or qPCR) that you can print or share easily with colleagues. Simply choose the type of PCR you want to use, enter the custom parameters for your experiment and press 'View Protocol'. All of the calculations will be performed for you and the new protocol will be displayed. Save time writing out detailed protocols with this handy tool from Promega.
