Employing non-invasive impedance microelectrodes in automated high-throughput plate formats, our xCELLigence® Real-Time Cell Analysis (RTCA) instruments maximize the physiological relevance of data extracted from in vitro cellular assays. These instruments enable label-free, real-time monitoring of cell proliferation, cell size/morphology, cell-substrate attachment quality, and cell invasion/migration. By eliminating the time- and labor-intensive steps of traditional methods, RTCA vastly improves efficiency and overall productivity. Wireless data transfer & large surface area wells. This instrument transmits data wirelessly from a standard CO2 cell culture incubator to the Control Unit (an iPad housed outside the incubator). The larger well size of the plates used by this model provides enough cells for complementary assays including western blotting, sequencing analyses, FACS, imaging, etc.

Cell invasion and migration. Capable of analyzing cell number, size/morphology, and attachment quality, with the added ability of making kinetic measurements of cell invasion and migration using an electronically integrated Boyden chamber.
xCELLigence RTCA HT
384-well high throughput screening. Up to four 384-well instruments can be integrated and controlled by a single analyzer/control unit, giving a total of 1536 wells. Configured for high-throughput screening applications, the RTCA HT model can be used either as a standalone instrument, or integrated into a high-throughput workflow using a liquid handler for fully automated screening.

Cardiomyocyte contractility, viability, and electrical activity measured in real-time. The new xCELLigence® RTCA CardioECR instrument combines high frequency measurement of cell-induced electrical impedance with multielectrode array technology to simultaneously assess cardiomyocyte contractility, viability, and electrophysiology.
