Cell Proliferation/Viability

Assessing cell health is an important workflow step in many cell culture systems and can be monitored using assays for the quantification of cell proliferation and viability, apoptosis, and DNA damage. Cell proliferation and viability can be quantified using fluorescent and non-fluorescent cell-permeable dyes, as well as using assays that measure metabolic activity. Apoptosis is studied using kits that assess apoptosis-associated cellular events, including TUNEL Assays, Annexin V staining, and mitochondrial membrane disruption. In addition, several assays are available to assess the mechanisms underlying DNA damage and repair.
